Wedding photos II

The wedding photos are here. The files are huge. We'll make copies of the CD as soon as we can. In the meantime, I won't bore you with pictures of adults. I know the baby pictures sell.

The girls paid very good attention during the ceremony

And they were cute after the ceremony.

Hilarious.

Stinky!

I just wanted to mention that I think it's hilarious that you called this the Vesuvian blog. I still very clearly remember sitting in the fast food restaurant with you and Stephen and Chris talking about potential citizen reactions to their impending doom. I'm just glad that's a touchpoint for someone else.

That's about all I have, except that I recently found a post-it I wrote to myself at work last year which said, in its entirety, "08 Budget." I'm still trying to figure out why I thought that was so important that I needed to write it down. It's funny, because at the time I would have written the note, the '08 budget was the only thing I was working on, and is really the entire point of my job. It's similar to Eric writing a note to himself that says "physics." Trust me, it's funny.

I'm not a good blogger.

2008 Beach House

I've gone ahead and reserved the beach house for this summer. Should be pretty nice.

Gwen and Nat might never make it past that staircase. Looks like we'll have a nice stretch of beach pretty much all to ourselves, too.

A full description of the house can be found here. Among the notable features are a 47" plasma TV (a step down, I realize, for the Columbus folk, but the rest of us should appreciate it), a hot tub, and a pool with "Night Colors", where "Night", I assume, means "Oddly Lit".

Wedding photos

Hey everyone,

We just got an e-mail from the photographer giving us the link for previewing the wedding photographs. Just go here, and enter the username Schreiber Wedding. The password is 17890. You can order pictures from there, or you can wait until Stephen and I get the CD in the mail with all the proofs, and we will just send you the digital photos for you to print. Enjoy!

EDIT: Apparently the photos are priced in gold bars or something, so just hold tight until we get the actual files to print out for a 1000% discount. Meanwhile, enjoy the proofs.

An image test, but a happy one

I'm still trying to figure out this blog thing, so I thought I'd try to post a picture or two. To make it worth your valuable websurfing time, I will make these pictures cute.

As an aside, digital cameras lead to very out-of-control habits. We took 95 pictures on Easter. Just on our camera. Which was one of three flashing away.

Anyway, here is Andrew experiencing the triumph of the Easter Egg hunt:

and here is Natalie enjoying her chocolate bunny:

Well, that was easy.

Honeymoon shots!

Hello everyone and thank you for welcoming me into the Schreiber clan. I just wanted to write a little note to say thank you all for coming and participating in the wedding. I think everyone had a fantastic time, and I know it was great having so much family there. We'll share the photos as soon as they come in.

Some of the honeymoon photos are here. Stephen and I had a great time in Riviera Maya, relaxing, seeing ruins, going snorkeling, and doing other beachy Mexican things. Here we are in front of a waterfall at Xcaret, a great national park/zoo/aquarium/everything you could ever need in outdoor entertainment place.

We've only got a couple of months left in Texas, and then it's up to Columbus to join more Schreibers. See you soon!

Add a link

I started writing something I thought might be funny, but when I read it back, it really just read snarky, which wasn't what I was going for at all. In fact, I was so disappointed in it, I actually erased it, which is something I rarely do. By the way, snarky is part of a family of words that are derived from "snout," which is why some of them (like snooty) can be loosely translated to "looking down your nose at someone." I learned that on A Way With Words, this annoying NPR podcast I listen to. Other podcasts include:

Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me
Car Talk
Princeton University Lecture Series
Talk of the Nation Science Friday
This American Life

There are others, but those are the ones I look forward to, and save for when I know I'll have time to listen to them. There's this pretty good lecture series on the Byzantine Empire, which I could point you towards.

Oh, and the reason I actually logged in was to suggest that you add a link to this blog (and Picassa) on the schreiber.tv home page. Then I realized that you had already done so, but I wanted to participate anyway.

This post is to remind me how to even do this

This has been sitting derelict for over a year now, but I was inspired to open it again for an incredibly minor reason: I did a slight reorganization of the schreiber.tv main page, eliminated one of the nav bar options, and needed a new heading to fill in the space. Et Voila! Revitalized blog! Except really, really not!

Anyway, I've actually empowered other people to not post here, so this should get exciting really soon.

What's 3 times zero again?
